Thursday, October 19
5:30 – 6:45 PM EST
In-person
This workshop will cover what 501(c)(3) nonprofits need to know to avoid scary situations. We will review “horror stories” that have been in the news and use them as learning tools. Are you afraid that there may be IRS requirements and restrictions you are unaware of? We’ll cover:
- Reporting: what does the IRS require from us every year?
- What kinds of activities can get our nonprofit in trouble?
- Fundraising: What’s allowed?
- Spending Restrictions: Are some types of spending prohibited for a 501(c)(3)?
Who should attend?
All are welcomed, though board members and community leaders involved in nonprofits and neighborhood organizations, are encouraged to attend.
Cost to attend the workshop
The cost for one person to attend the workshop is $30. Additional attendees from the same organization may sign up for a discounted rate! The cost for 2 participants from the same organization is $50. The cost for 3 participants is $60.
