Our online workshop will cover what Boards need to know about their nonprofit’s finances.
Beyond what the Treasurer does, what are the Board’s responsibilities when it comes to your nonprofit’s finances? Our online workshop will cover duties and best practices that all nonprofit Board members should be familiar with:
- Financial oversight: how does a healthy board maintain good oversight over our income and expenses?
- Fundraising: what’s allowed?
- Keeping Records, Creating Statements and Reports: What needs to be recorded and shared?
Who should attend?
Directors and Officers on nonprofit boards, or anyone involved in leading a nonprofit organization.
Cost to attend the workshop
The cost for one person to attend the workshop is $30. Additional attendees from the same organization may sign up for a discounted rate! The cost for 2 participants from the same organization is $50. The cost for 3 participants is $60.

About the Presenter
Denice Ko, Esq., is Deputy Director at Community Law Center. Ms. Ko joined Community Law Center in late 2017 as a volunteer attorney and became a Staff Attorney in 2019. She represents community associations and other nonprofit organizations for capacity building and nonprofit best practices, and provides legal services for a range of contract and compliance matters. She has also worked as an attorney in the field of pharmaceutical liability. Ms. Ko graduated from the University of Maryland School of Law and is a member of the Maryland Bar.
