CLC Spring 2025 Campaign

We invite you to join CLC’s Spring 2025 Fundraising Campaign: Choosing to See the Light.

As you know, our attorneys represent nonprofits and communities across Baltimore City and 2025 has thus far brought chaos, confusion and funding crises to many of our clients, due to federal funding and policy changes, state budget cuts, closure of fiscal sponsor organizations, and tightening budgets all around. This has resulted in a tremendous increase of clients seeking assistance from Community Law Center.

Our clients’ needs range from:

  • total dissolution
  • urgent need to become a 501(c)(3) independent of a fiscal sponsor,
  • diversification of funding
  • nonprofit restructuring
  • solutions to cash flow challenges from federally allocated dollars that have ceased to exist.

It is true that 2025’s federal landscape has presented challenges and disheartening realities for many of us.

It is also true that here at CLC we’re making a choice: to stand firm in our commitment to racial equity, and to solidify our role as legal partners to those nonprofits and neighborhoods most directly targeted by the current Administration.

“We are choosing to see the light in these very dark times—the light that comes from our communities, from the chance to implement local solutions, to use creativity, collaboration and innovative thinking to chart a path forward.”

Amy Petkovsek
